Why do children enjoy painting?
Children find painting a delight and quite an entertaining activity. The great thing a child enjoy's about painting is that to them, their work is truly a masterpiece, even if one cannot interpret the child's design. In addition, as with most children's arts and crafts activities, painting focuses around developing a child's motor skills, concentration, colour recognition and pattern design. Painting allows a child to think outside the square where even the things they utilise to paint their pieces of art do not necessarily have to be a paint brush. This can also include the use of different types of paint, painting different surfaces, using templates or stencils or even using different parts of the their bodies (hands, feet, arms etc) to create shapes from paint. Children painting can also be a great way for them to experiment, learn cause and affect, learn about colours and how they mix to make other colours.
